mFortune Casino – Not Recommended! Avoid!
Our quest to bring you the very best in mobile casino reviews continues today as we take a closer look at mFortune.co.uk. Part of the Intouch Games family of brands, mFortune Casino has been open to UK players since 2007. What do we think of the games on offer? What about the dreaded casino wagering? And how generous are their bonuses? We found out here…
Signing Up and Welcome Offers
There are just two things you need to sign up to mFortune Casino:
- You need to be over 18
- You need a valid UK phone number
We downloaded the app from the App Store – we typed in “mFortune” – and signed up in-app quickly and easily. You can also download the mFortune Slots App from Google Play and you need to be running either iOS 10 or Android 5 and above to make sure you can play all of their games.
Once we’d filled in the sign-up form, we were text a link to activate our account and once we’d done that we were able to start playing.
mFortune Casino assured us that they do loads of the background checks behind the scenes to verify your age, which is always good to know. They will put a block on your account and request I.D. if they’re not able to prove you’re over 18 but once they’ve done this, you’ll be able to start playing.
Of course, the bit you really want to know about is those sign-up bonuses, right? And we have to say we were pleasantly surprised by mFortune’s offering. Once your account is activated, you’ll get a £5 bonus without depositing. Winner!
And what makes this even better is it only comes with a x1 wagering requirement – you just have to play through it once before you can withdraw any winnings. We were pretty impressed with this, especially as lots of casinos have wagering in the double figures.
If you like what you see and make a deposit, mFortune will double it up to £100! We made a £15 deposit, and ended up with £30 to play with. So if you want to take full advantage of this, you can max it out by depositing the maximum of £100 and playing with £200!
Other Bonuses and Promotions
The bonuses don’t just stop with newbies though, ‘cause it sounds like mFortune Casino reward their loyal players too. They have loads of different bonuses available for players, and they all have that x1 wagering. Some of the bonuses you can expect to get are:
- Referral bonus – refer a friend a get a £5 free bonus + a 50% friend’s first deposit match bonus
- Weekly bonuses – free spins, bonus credit, or deposit matches sent over text
- Facebook bonuses – join in competitions on their Facebook page for the chance to win
- New game bonuses – play new releases with a special first-play bonus
As with all online casinos, terms and conditions do apply to mFortune’s bonuses. Have a read through before you sign up just to make sure you’re happy and understand them.
Slots Games and Software
Right! On to the most important part! What games can you play when you join mFortune Casino?
Well…not the ones you’re used to, that’s for sure. You won’t find any of the usual slots game suspects here as mFortune doesn’t buy in titles from developers such as NetEnt. Intouch Games design and develop all their games in-house making all the games at mFortune shiny, new, and exclusive.
Don’t worry though, there’s something for everyone here. There’s a modest selection of around 40 games but if you consider they’re all made in-house (and that they add a new one each month) that’s pretty good going.
Krispy Kash caught our eye thanks to the bright colours and the doughnut symbols so we took that for a spin with our welcome bonus. This game had a cool feature that’s activated when you spin in a win on an active payline and awards you extra multipliers. Not bad!
Got your eye on a big jackpot? mFortune Casino has plenty of those! Check out Cat and Mouse which has a jackpot of over £400,000 – yep, you read that right! – and there’s a jackpot of over £200,000 on Vegas Vegas.
Wondering how these own-brand games work in terms of fairness? All of mFortune’s games have to go through testing by the UK Gambling Commission and have to be certified as fair before they can release them. If they don’t get a certificate, they don’t get released so it’s good to know everything is above board here.
Bingo and Casino Games
If you love bingo or casino games, you’ll be able to play these here too! mFortune’s selection of casino games is small – there’s blackjack, roulette, and Texas Hold’Em Poker – but they’re quite good for beginners to start out. We liked the 3D look and feel of the roulette game.
There is also bingo here too, which offers everything you’d expect.
There are 11 rooms named after gemstones and each has a chatroom and its own progressive jackpot. Prize wise, there are small prizes for the first person with one line, two lines, and a full house. Those jackpots? You need to get a full house in 35 numbers or less to get that.
We played in Emerald and paid 10p for our ticket. It was marked off automatically, and you could play some of the mFortune slots games while you’re waiting for bingo to start. Bingo tickets are 10p and strips 60p in all rooms except Diamond where they’re 25p and £1.
One of the cool things we noticed when we were playing was our bingo chatroom admin was hosting a quiz. She told us they do these most days, and there are loyalty points on offer to the first person with the correct answer. These “loyalty points” can be spent in the loyalty shop where you can swap them for bonus credit, mFortune pens, or vouchers.
Depositing and Withdrawing
It’s super easy to deposit to your mFortune Casino account. Just tap “Banking” from the game home screen, and you can deposit £5 using a debit / credit card, PayPal account, Skrill, or Paysafecard. We spotted that you can also deposit £3 using your phone bill which will either be added to your next monthly bill or taken out of your available credit.
To withdraw any funds you’ve won, head to the same “Banking” menu. If you’ve not deposited before, you can withdraw to a bank account. If you want to withdraw to a debit / credit card or PayPal account, you’ll need to have deposited using this method first.
We were pleased to see no minimum withdrawal amount, but you will be charged a £3 fee if you want to withdraw anything under £10. You should also bear in mind that the most you can withdraw from a free bonus – even if you’ve met the x1 wagering – is £200.
One thing we will say is that mFortune Casino takes longer than average to pay out winnings. They say to wait 3-4 working days for processing – working days don’t include weekends, the day you made the request and bank holidays – after which you’ll either be asked for I.D. or you’ll get a text saying everything’s ok and to wait another couple of days for the funds to be in your account.
If you get asked for I.D., we found the “Send I.D.” option in app the easiest way to do this. It saved a lot of hassle, and out winnings were paid out soon after. Our advice? Be prompt with your I.D. when asked for it and be patient, you’ll get there in the end!
Security and Responsible Gambling
You’ll be pleased to know that all these transactions and any data you send over are safe with mFortune as they use 256-bit TLSv1.2 digital encryption. They also don’t pass your data on to third parties – we should hope not!
mFortune Casino is a GamCare certified casino which means they’re committed to responsible gambling. Now we hope you don’t need them, but it’s reassuring to see they have a number of measures in place in case you’re struggling.
You can put deposit / session limits or cool-down periods in place, and you can self-exclude if you feel you need to. Signed up to GamStop? So are mFortune Casino. This means if you’re registered with the self-exclusion service, you won’t be able to play at any Intouch casino.
Help and Support
We found out that mFortune’s help team are UK-based and on-hand 24 hours a day, 365 days a year which makes it really easy to get in touch with them. You can tap “Support” in app, or reach them by:
- Calling +44(0)1384 880 842
- Texting HELP to 85777 for a call-back
- Emailing [email protected]
- Contacting them via Live Chat at mfortune.co.uk
Conclusion
With a great welcome offer – and bonuses that keep coming – as well as a good selection of exclusive games, it’s certainly worth giving mFortune Casino a go. Our advice to them? Speed up those withdrawals and you’ll get even more players!
